to keep from starting a new thread, i got an offer for a 97 SST w/104k miles on it for my ta, is the 5.9 a good motor?

wow I bought everything to do it myself from the dealership.... $201 bucks and that included a new filter gasket and 5 quarts of aft+4 ...I never touched a tranny before and it took me about an hour to change everything and get it all back together.. but I did buy a cheap code reader from harbor frieght to check for codes and found the 1741 error prior to replacing stuff.....but you can just go to an autoparts store and ask to use theirs..

What year is the Trans Am? And more importantly, what year is your Mustang? I am a Ford and Dodge guy lol
