Default exhaust system

alright guys, i am asking for opinons. I have a little dinky 3.9l v6 and i know that even with an exhaust system it wont be loud, but i want her to sound good. so i am toon between dual glasspacks, or dual flomaster 40 series. i am doing dual out the back. an advantage with the flowmaster is i could do dual in, and dual out and save a little money but idk how that would effect flow, and sound. so lets here it, what should i do. also any other suggestions more than welcome

i think u should run a single glasspack to a dump and just keep the pipes hidden unless your going to do 45* tips... in which case i would do two glasspacks, and the duals like i am doing to my 5.2

glass packs sound good on v6 motors. my camaro has a gutted cat and just a glass pack halfway down the car. my thunderbird had two glass packs with 3 cylinders pumping into each one (true dual). i'm a fan of glass packs when a vehicle doesn't sound good straight piped (you couldn't hear anything other than the exhaust when i dropped the muffler off the camaro).

i am doing the tips out of the corners (45 degrees). I've looked at some clips on youtube of dakota's exhaust, b.c i am apperently the only person in the world with a v6 ram. and even with the crappy audo on my computer i can tell a glasspack sounds good. plus 3.8l v6 mustangs have them on there alot and it has a nice little rumble. ok so its decided i will get dual glasspacks.

Before I had my dodge I had a 99 f150 with the 4.2l v6 and I just cut the muffler out and put a piece of pipe in/ straight piped it and it actually sounded decent. It had a deep rumble at idle and it didnt sound that ricey unless I got on it and ran over 3000 rpms and with it being stick Id run it to about 4000 rpms and let off and it would crackle and pop like crazy. I've had three trucks now and i've straight piped them all maybe im just to cheap to buy a nice exhaust system but I think they have all sounded good

if you do go with duals, stick with 2" pipes, thatll sound the best...on my 98 3.8 v6 mustang, i had 2" duals to turbo tubes, basically a magnaflow in a glasspack casing to 3" tips and it sounded really good, it was nice and deep and had a baby v8 sound to it, here is dual 2" flowmasters dumped on it, they sounded good also, i only got them cause i wanted a little louder
