No, but I love the little S-10. Gets 23 mpg and has never let me down. Some day I'd love to swap a 5.3 Vortec V8 in it.

Believe me, these things are slow. Put a Quad 4 throttle body, a cheap air intake with a big AEM filter, a different muffler, and a Corvette tranny servo and they can go a little better than stock. But you already have the advantage of the 5-speed. Automatics suck.

isnt that statement an oxymoron? you love it because its gets 23mpg and is so reliable but you would love to shoehorn a 5.3 vortec into it to put more strain on eveything, make it less reliable and give it terrible mpg?....lol
comparing an s10 to that lifted dodge ram is like comparing a ford festiva to a mustang....they are just two totally different animals designed for a different lifestyle.
