The 15's should fit your truck, because you have the smaller brakes. I wouldn't go that wide tho.. I have 16x8's on my truck wrapped with 33's. They are wonderful.

I'm running 15" rims and 11 something wide. If you do rub you can grind your break calibers a little so they won't rub.

On my Ranger I had 33x12.5's on 7 inch wide wheels... On this truck I have 33x12.5's on 8 inch wide wheels. You're totally fine. Don't but such a wide wheel. Extra weight = more wear and tear.

Someone is going to come in with the tire wear argument, but if you actually read the MFG recommended wheel size chart, you will see that 8-9 inches is spec for most 12.5 wide tires.

You can do alot of things doesn't mean it is the greatest idea ( trust me I have tried several)

How much more does a 10" wide wheel weight than a 8" wide wheel?

What I have always been told as far as a wider tire with wear and tear is it is all in backspacing because if factory is say 5.5 and you use a 4.5 that pushes the tire out and can affect wear and tear on trucks because of the load on components. Just like the guys with lowriders who use to push their tires outside the body real far.

Also if you don't want wear and tear on your vehicle you should stick to a stock truck because a larger than stock tire is going to increase wear and tear far more than what size rim it is on..... i.e. brakes, steering components, mpg, load on the engine etc. Tire MFG do alot of testing on their tires and they don't make a dime on what size wheel size you use so just pick your tire and check with the MFG.

Negative. The closer to zero your backspacing, the better. With a 5 inches of back spacing, you have all sorts of weight being cantilevered off the lug. With Zero inches, the wheel is perfectly centered on the hub. The reason Manufacturers use such great offsets, is so they can run a medium width tire, without having to widen the wheel wells, or having the tires protrude from the wells.

We go through this when building race trucks all the time.
