Default Radio antenna switch?

I cant seem to ever get a station that my FM transmitter for my Ipod will work with. I found online that some people have had disconnected their antennas so that there wont be any interference. would it be possible to put a switch between the radio and antenna so that it wasn't permanently disconnected.

look around the 88's and 89's. 88.1 works with the transmitter i got for my g/f from up to about 30 foot away. you need to find a station that isn't getting a signal from any radio stations. if you try stations that are getting a signal then the transmitter and the signal coming through the airwaves will be fighting each other.

does your radio have a 3.5mm jack on it? using a double ended headphone cable is a sure fire way to have zero interference.
