Default Truck weight

Hey guys trying to figure out truck weights. Not having any luck on the net. Trying to compare my(1500 v8 4x4 ext. cab short box)truck to an identicle in 2500) My bro is thinking about selling his 2002 to buy a second jen.

If I recall from the last time I was on the scale at the transfer station, my 1500 4x4 ext cab short bed weighs in at about 5300 lbs with me in it and my tools and other misc stuff in my bed. In stock form, it would be less.

No your truck does not weigh three/four tons.

i got off the scales wed. at 5600, its a longbed regcab with a 318 4x4, but thats with a full toolbox around 150lbs and a 33 tire and aluminum ladder in the bed so about 50 more lbs
