Default Headlight switch and plug meltdown, need help

While plowing I had a meltdown between headlight switch and plug. I have learned that this is a common issue, but I have added a new wrinkle all my own. I have replaced the switch and the plug and now the headlights work again , but now the marker lights do not work properly . They work only when the switch is halfway between the marker light location and the headlight location. When the switch is pulled out all the way to headlights, the marker lights go out. Anyone have any input, I would be much appreciative. Thanks for helping out the new guy.

Welcome to the forums! You may want to ask this question over in the diesel section as well.

When you say you replaced the plug, I'm assuming you did some wiring. Are you sure you wired it (or whomever wired it) properly?

Yes, I have double checked and triple checked that wires are connected where they are supposed to be, but stranger things have happened.

Do you remember which fuse was blown?

If they come on with the switch out halfway,it's not a fuse.It has to be the switch. The replacement switches are hit or miss China junk IMHO.

Thank you all for your input, turns out that the fuse was blown and the lights must be getting feedback through the switch when in the in between position.
