That is the one they keep giving me, but it doesn't fit anything on my truck. The connection is not so square. I believe my sensor is right beside the hood light. Can't imagine what else it could be. The sensor itself is gone so don't even have that to go by. I have read on the forums that is the proper location for 98-02 but can't seem to get a part number.

Seems to me you are missing the harness that goes from the plug by the hood light to the temp sensor.

Well, some guys say under the hood by the light, some say by the latch. There is no plug by the latch, and one by the light. Temp sensor does not fit it though, Cant imagine what else it would be for. It shouldn't be this hard really. The missing harness thing makes sense but why would they run a harness from the inner fender well, up the hood, then back down to the sensor? Unless it is because it is part of the hood light harness. Wonder if that can be bought?

The sensor does mount by the latch. What part of "your missing the wire harness" do you not get? My truck does not have that option. But there is an empty plug mounted just before the hood light. You need the harness that runs up to the front of the hood for the sensor. Simple as that.

Went to JY today. Tried to find you a harness, but none of the rams had the overhead read out.

There was a 97 with one, and yes 97 back is located next to the driver headlight on the rad support. But that's not what you want.
