You said it was shifting into OD too soon, what do you mean by too soon? 40mph is where a stock tranny is supposed to shift into OD. A tuner will raise that to 50mph which, in my opinion, is a lot better.

Yes I believe that was the pre-tax price for the converter I purchased direct from a transmission parts only shop here in town.

OK so the new transmission is installed and the truck is back on the road. However, still have an overdrive issue. Now my previous issue was a bit different, overdrive kicked in but the button would not work to disengage OD. Now, OD will not engage! This new transmission was rebuilt 17-MAR-2007 and the guy I bought it from said he never had a problem with the overdrive. I'm inclined to believe him seeing as how my truck had an overdrive issue with the old tranny... my problem is where do I go from here? I've got a brand new OD and TCC solenoid installed. Is there a fuse or some other electronic component I'm missing with regard to the OD/OD button?

:frustrated:

Sorry missed this post. It shifted into OD perfectly at 40mph every single time. The problem is it did that no matter what! Merging on the highway was difficult, and the only way I could overcome this was to floor it when merging on the highway, which kicked it down to 2nd to accelerate me to safe highway speeds. imagine trying to accelerate with about 3/4 throttle, and instead of the RPM's gracefully climbing higher as I accelerate past 40mph, it shifts into OD right at 40mph every single time and the RPM's drop way down. Acceleration denied! =/

This was in addition to my OD button not working. Prior to this happening I have never had either problem.
