Yup, that would be your best bet. Its a little spendy but it won't leave you stuck in 2wd.

Its for the CAD (central axle disconnect). Basically connecting the pass axle shaft to the *hub*.(if im wrong here correct me someone). Odds are either you have a leaky vac line or the switch is bad(most common).

Technically it connects the two passanger side axles together with a collar. The outer shaft is always connected to the hub.

this is not an uncommon problem, the best bet obviously would get the posi-lok, but its not needed, luckily the 4x4 is actually easy to get workin again. I re-did my vacuum lines, and now right whe i pull the shifter it immidiatly goes into 4wd, and when i push it down it disengages right away. doesnt matter what the weather is either. always works perfect. but i dont shift on the fly. i stop, put it neutral, then shift it into 4x./ out of 4x

all in all id just re do all the vacuum lines

as for the tires spinning, i have open diffs, with 4.10 gears and with mine, it actually goes back and forth between the front tires on which one spins when i hammering, if im going slow, my DS tires s the one spinning
