Default Wont start, But turns

Hey guys I have a 99 Ram 1500 5.9 4x4 and I just put a new battery in it but it wont start now, it turns really hard and will start for a second if you have the gas floored but then dies. Its stumping me and is just sittin in the drive way in the mean time. Any ideas?

ya it was running fine before the new battery,when it first died i was at a gas station and had them jump me, i had to pick up my friend and i just put $50 in the gas tank and it said it had an 1/8 tank, the check gauges light came on and then the gas gauge went up and the light wen off, the light blinks on for a second when its turning now.

Your battery connections are loose, the computer will shut it off. Had this happen on a friends 01 Dodge.

i checked the batterty connections already and they where fine, i tried to wiggle them and theres no play at all on either of them

look around for burn't wires mine did that after i did my plnume and the coil wire fell onto the manifold and melted and started shorting out. can you hear the fuel pump turn on can you smell gas in the exhaust

ya you can hear the fuel pmp turn on, what wires do you think i may have burnt up?

with mine it was the wire that gose from the coil to the cape that was burn't. check and just do a once over of the motor. is if any wires are laying on somthing that would be hot enoff to melt the insulation
