i think i will try the spacers and see what happens...and as far as my confederate flag....i like it and its heritage not hate

I will, Stay tuned I will keep you updated!! But in all seriousness there wont be any additional bearing wear than aftermaket wheels with large offset.

Both are bad for these trucks. Does it matter if one is only a little less bad than the other?

That is my point exactly!! Either way you will be doing more work on your truck if you want it to look that way! SO if you can get the look for FREE in the case of the OP why not!?? In my case I will watch my bearings, because I KNEW when I put them on there there was added stress. BUT I did not want to spend the money on the wheels.
