Default upgrade ideas....?

so my 95 is about paid off got it from a buy here pay here lot and it was the first thing i got with payments and prob the last. anyway when i picked it up the truck had 84xxx miles on it this was a huge plus for me being as old as it is.truck has normal dodge clear coat issues but it's not real bad just fender tops and door tops mainly. the body is clean and straight inside is free from defects except the dash is busted up and had a cover over it(found out after i got it) was not too happy. anyway to make this a bit shorter, after the last few payments i want to get a few bolt ons and then maybe build a 408 sometime next year for it. i noticed the 95 truck there is no tuner available that i have seen. i have found some chips but i heard in time the computer will override them...also i was thinking of maybe a cam and some headers as well as a nice exhaust with maybe an h pipe or x pipe had one on my old truck...sounded good and made a nice increase in power. i'm just looking for ideas also i was told there is a guy on here that reworks the factory tb's and opens them up he said it was better then a spacer? any ideas on this or info?

the clear coat can be fixed by getting off the peelings and wiping it down with paint thinnner and then spraing a new clear coat over it, and it would be as good as new. as far as the dash goes, its a common problem. youre pretty much stuck with the factory pcm, unless you get a mopar performance pcm. youre best best would be to build a better motor, and invest the money you would use to buy a chip into the internals of a rebuilt one.

and you are correct there is no tuners available for a pre-97 vehicle, most of the tuners dont touch the 97s though.

If you going to do a 408 don't spend a dime on it now. Most on here have spent a ton of cash for a small amount of power increase.
