Wierd no start. . . 5.9 gas
So it started as a simple no start. Timing light indicated no spark at the plug. . . but spark at the coil. Pulled the cap. . . corroded like none other. R&R cap, rotor, wires and plugs. No start. No spark at coil no either. Have a pickup and crank sensor on hand. . . so replace pickup. No start. .. but spark indicated everywhere by timing light. . . that is until cranking longer than five seconds and the spark dissapears. R&R crank sensor. . . same results. Coil won't be in for another hour. . . which looks pretty nasty and I'm thinking could cause the issue. . . and maybe when it is sparking. . . its just not hot enough. I feel like a parts changer right now and I don't much like it! Any other thoughts? FYI. . . fuel pressure is good. And starting fluid did nothing. Thanks

Also. . . the check guages light comes on after a couple seconds of cranking. Using Auto Enginuity. . . I tried the "reset cam/crank sync" in the onboard test. . . it failed due to an unknown error. Any ideas there? I disconnected the cam pickup to verify I the computer was seeing things correctly. The threw a code for it, and I watched in AE how it didn't continue counting edges. I plugged it back in, cleared the code and cranked. . . got a couple of puffs. . . but no start. Off to pick up a coil.
