whats wrong with having four lights on the brush guard?

Rick, Montana has some pretty laid back laws. actually so does NC now that i think of it.
i don't see why there would even be a law against that anyway though. you don't run your high beams when there is oncoming traffic so how are the off road lights any different. if you only run them when there is no one around then why would it matter to the cops.

I just use my lights to "bright" the guys that drive with there fog lights on lol. I like to see the whites of their eyes........oh ya and the lights are great for night coyote hunts lol

CA doesn't trust us to use them only off-road. Any auxiliary light mounted higher than the bumper has to have a cover on it when on public roads.

Skip them. They are a very very dated design, and you can get much better lamps for not a whole lot more.
