wheel backspacing

im looking at buying a used set of wheels with the intentions of putting 36 or 37s underneath. question is how much backspacing should i be looking at? these wheels are 15x10 with 3.5" backspacing. Is that too much backspacing? i dont know how much i have with the wheels i have already.
