Default Cup holder idea

So I am tired of my cup holders in my 1996 ram. Is there a way I can toss a set of cup holders in from a 2001 ram?

No. Two whole different dash designs.

I am wondering I think the same thing right now... Is a dash swap from a 2001 to a 1996 a bolt-in swap? Has anyone done this?

wow you must reallllly not like your cupholders to consider a dash swap for better ones. Why not just get that holder that snaps onto the front of your console? or is that different too?

Well, I didn't mean to hi-jack the thread... I was just wondering if swapping the entire dash is possible... It would seem to me that it could be done since I believe the cab itself didn't change. I do personally like the dash of the later rams better... His question is more less the same as mine though.

Well, I'm looking at the Adidias ad to the right of this reply box, Impossible is Nothing. But that said, there is an immense amount of plastic fabrication that you would have to do to make it look right and to fit right. Its not like its gonna pop right in. The curvature of the bottom of your 96's dash and my cupholders isnt even the same. If you have very good skills at fiberglassing I would say yes, but If you were good at fiberglassing, you could just make a really cool center console.

Bolt in: Yes. Wire in: NO. The wiring harnesses between a 1996 and a 2001 truck are almost completely different. You'd probably have to swap in the whole harness from a 2001 first. Nobody has done this to my knowledge.
