Default TPS, Holley TB?!?! Surging?

Alright, so i had this marble in motor sound that ended up being a PCV valve, replaced her. Sound gone works great. In the midst of things someone recommended I change my TPS since I had a highway surge and throw some new plug wires. I bought some Beefy Jegs wires but they're shipped to my parents house as they wouldn't ship to my PO box so I have yet to put them on. However I threw on the TPS and my god what a difference... smooth, all the power was back, shifting was like butter BUT when I got to the Petrol station I had a small surge, i kicked the gas to see if I could shake it and thats when it got worse. I shut the truck off filled up came back and it stopped? Did the new TPS need to cycle through the ECU or settle in or something? I'm going to flash the PCM in a minute and then run her when I get a chance before work tomorrow to see if she's alright. I read somewhere that the TPS was slotted on the screw holes for minor adjustment but neither the new one nor old were slotted... Also I pulled off my air box to reveal a double barrell holly throttle body... is this a plesant suprise like the Edlebrock headers I found a few months after owning the truck, or is holley oem on this ram?

^ like he said. What color are the blades on your throttle body?

Silver = stock
brass = fastman = nice find

stock. Looks like I have a reason to upgrade something else haha. But what should I do about the TPS, should I reset the PCM or was the surging due to the PCM learning the new TPS as I'm sure the old one was all fouled up.

Hard to tell from your description. I'd see if it does it again. Either way were also going to need more information like when it surges, how much it surges (like 200rpm). Is this the same surge that you encountered with the old tps. etc. Sometimes surging is caused by the tps (which you replaced), but also sometimes causes by the torque converter locking and unlocking.

Edit Also I would double check your marble sound.

The marble sound I felt in the hose coming from the intake manifold to the PCV, it was more of an annoying *** tick than a marble sound that was a bit of an overstatement. I'm positive it was the pcv, that puppy was shot and I replaced it a few days, the min the new one went in was the minute it stopped the noise. The surging was only @ 70mph and it was about 200-300rpm. When I replaced the TPS it surged about 2 miles down the road when i was stopped at the gas station, like an idle surge the most it surged I'd say was about 400rpm and thats after I laid into the gas for a moment at the stand still. shut the truck off filled it up, turned 'er back on and she ran smooth as molasses all the way home and back to the garage, idled her in drive, neutral and park and couldn't reproduce the surge

Holley made the throttle bodys for our trucks. I'd like to find one of those "Holley Equipped" stickers, put it on the back of the truck, and watch everyone scratch their heads. When I replaced my TPS (for the same reason, surging at 70 MPH) I too noticed some surging right after I put it on. But after I shut off the truck it never surged again, and that was a year ago.

How do you like those Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts? are they Revos? What size are they? They look mean!

Effin' love them, to be honest I don't remember what size they are, Ill have to look. They've been on there since 2006 lol. They do make some road noise but it's nothing bad, the radio overpowers it... I kinda like road noise anyway, makes me feel at one with my baby haha. Haven't really had to use 4wd that often anymore either. Thanks for the heads up on the surging. It didn't do it today on the way to work so I'll just ignore it haha.

I installed and went, later on I flashed the PCM in efforts to try and fix it.
