Default 1500 and 2500 suspension

Anyone know if there's a significant difference between front coil springs on a 1500 and a 2500? I'm thinking about putting 2500 springs on my 1500 and adding a leaf spring in the back. Do the 2500 springs add a substantial lift to the truck, and will they bolt up without mods?

Thanks.

The 3/4 ton springs will give about 2-1/2" of lift. An Add-A-Leaf kit is easy to do in the rear to make up the difference there, and they're pretty cheap. Other than that, everything bolts in. It's an easy 2-1/2" for a 1/2 ton. It will give you a stiffer ride however. If this is a problem, a good route to go is the 2" coil isolator kit from www.jeeperzcreeperz.com The guys over there are really cool, I've dealt with them in the past and they're really helpful. Have decent prices too.

Steve00ram360 did the spring swap on his Ram and swears by it.

Cool. I'm not too worried about the stiffer ride. Between the extra leaf in the back and the coils in front it'll give me the extra little bit of clearance I'm looking for.
