Default best tires

I have a 01 quad cab 4x4 and I am looking to buy all new tires what is everyone else
putting on their ram? I do some off-road and mostly highway, and I drive in snow,
I looked at the bfgoodrich all terrains, and the bridgestone a/t revo's. I prefer to
get an all terrain due to my other tires wore out to qwuick.(good for a years, and dunlops).

I don't know about on a Ram, however, I put a set of Revo's on my Chevy Tahoe 4X4, had the front aligned, and they have lasted no time! The ride suffered also. After all the reviews thought this would be a good tire but........? I use Firestone Destination LE on my Ram 4X2 and love them. Got nearly 50K on a set.

I just went with the Nitto TerraGrappler on my 2500 they were $153.00 a piece at tire direct w/ free shipping. They are radial, quiet and still have an aggresive tread.

Thank you Ramarado for your reply and experience with the revo's.
And also thank you to Dw1432 for your suggestion of the nitto's which I did not look at
yet.I still hope that others will give their thoughts or opions on which tires they use and like
on their trucks.[sm=burnout.gif]

Not the same Nitto, but I have the Nitto 555's on my S10 and I love em. If Nitto put the same development into the others as they did the 555's then you can't go wrong.

I looked at the nitto's and aside from the terragrapplers they look like street tires.
I am still favoring the bf goodrich or the revo's.
I still ask that someone can give their experience with one of these tires?[sm=alcoholic.gif]

I bought wrangler rt/s tires aabout 18 months ago. WORST tires ever. $120 each 18 months later 4/32 tread left when 1 of them was punctured (rotated regularly). Spin in rain snow dirt mud even dry pavement. bought some firestone destination le's quiet ride great cant spin those for anything rain or shine and only like $70 a tire. go firestone.

Whitey thanks for your opinion. What size ram are you driving?, and how do the all terrains handle?
Did you look at any other tire makes and what made you settle on the BF goodriches?

i have a older 3/4 ton heavy duty pickup. well i was able to buy these tire because i got a really good deal on them, but i know alot of people who have tried several different sizes on different applications and no one has said anything negative about them. the biggest plus i've seen is i installed a lift kit on my pickup which made it really stiff and rough riding. these tires have smoothed out the ride enough i can enjoy driving the pickup
