Default oil pan

Will any oil pan from a 5.9 fit another 5.9? I have been having an issue with parts and wanted to see what the forum would say now on too the story.

I needed an oil pan so I went to a friend on the forum for one and I couldn't wait anymore so than I went to rock auto. Go the rock auto pan. Dodgeboy went to put in on and it didn't fit. He looked at the print out and it said 2001 dodge ram 1500 van. So the pan didn't fit.

Pans are specific to model, not engine. So a pan from a Dakota 360 wouldnt fit a Grand Cherokee 360, Ram pickup 318 pan wouldnt fit a Ram van 318, etc...
