Default DIY on reupholstering?

is there a DIY on reupholstering your seats? i have hidious gray fabric with like rainbow stitching. i have black seat covers with ram logos on them now, but they always move around and you cant suck any dirt off them its like the stuff gets imbeded in the cheap thin fabric, so i was thinking about getting some material and redoing the buckets and the headliner (its fine, but just to match) maybe with some vinyl or pleather type to make it easier to clean with mud and dirt

In the Jan. issue of 8-Lug magazine there is an article on replacing the factory seat covers with new leather covers. These covers come from www.leatherseats.com and run about $700. Even if you don't want to spend that much, the article is a great DIY. The mag is worth the $6 even if you don't run a 8-Lug truck.

It still applies to us. That's why it's in the 2nd genner section.
