Jet Performance Module?
Mopar PCM is the easiest option, followed by B&G flash(have to send the pcm in)
SMT6/7, Megasquirt & couple other piggybacks as well as full stand alone eng mngmnt are more difficult options. Have to hack into the wiring harness with any of them.
Jet gave me slower 1/4m ets
Caused dangerous condition cause of my lower springs harness would bounce over bumps & mtr would die. No throttle, no pwr steering no pwr brakes. Not fun cause it would usually happen on the highway. Zip ties only reduced frequency slightly.

Thanks for the replies, I defineitely won't be wasting my money on the Jet Module. Since I plan on installing a 5.9 in the future, it would make sense to get a MP PCM for the 5.9, but how well would this work on the 5.2? I'm positive it would run the 5.2 but would there be any side effects?
Also one more question. I have read up on the dreaded Death Flash and know that there are probably 100 posts on this, but one thing I haven't been able to clarify is if this only affected OBD II vehicles (96 and up) or did OBD I (95 and down) get it as well?
As far as I know, didnt start to death flash the pcm's till 98 or 99 IIRC (correct me if Im wrong)
If you dont have any detonation now and want a few more ponies till you get the 5.9 could do the CPS mod. Gives up to 4deg adv timing on the ignition. Bit of a PITA to get at but its free

^Nope, that was the general consensus until I found my 96 had the death flash, dated January of 97.
You can find out if you have the death flash by looking right on your PCM for a sticker that says "Chrysler Authorized Software Update". You might also find it right behind the grille, on the hood with the hood open, with writing that says something similar.

if you take your truck to the dealer or it has been to the dealer often, they will usually flash it regardless of what year it is, because it applies to all 2nd gen rams. it was a tsb a long time ago...i'm one of the lucky ones that doesnt have a flashed pcm. haha
