lifts arent pointless at all, if you like offroading, mudding, rock climbing, or even just to have an advantage in the snow bigger tires are a must, and to accomodate them, and have some axle articulation, you need a lift. now do you need a 20" lift and 42" tires on a 2wd show truck? sure if you just want to show it off, but out of all the money spent of that truck and the lack of attention shown to the bumper, and the engine is a big thumbs down in my opinion. not that anyone can see the engine if he did shine it up, but some performance to turn those big *** tires, and bigger gears are definatly needed. and what give with the front axle? just too lazy to hook up a drive shaft?

yep, you can set your truck up for prerunning, rock crawling or mudding but not for all three. you can set it up to be ok for all three but to be the best at one would make it just ok for the others.

Looks like a huge waste of time to me as well.

Yeah, it is nicely built, and looks good, but like Laramie said it is simply a giant ad for his tattooing.. It never sees mud. Period.

He did all that work and completely neglected the engine/drivetrain for "reliability"...He has 4.10's on it. It must go 0-60 in 10 minutes.

Oh, and I laughed pretty hard when I saw the 4 foot hitch..

"I'll take a 2wd truck, lift it 20 inches, put 42s on it, leave the engine stock, with underpowered gearing, and then put a hitch on it to tow! Lmao

I am actually glad he didnt mess with the engine, I would be scared of the side effects and it looks like a waste of time and money, but hey some people have money to throw away

monster trucks that big are pretty much just for looks and not very practical for offroad anyway... when you go that big so 2wd is cheaper and really just as practical...

I didn't lift it for the sake of lifting it. My spindles are not run of the mill spindles by any means.

They are 3.5 inch machined lift spindles, drilled to accept Dana 44 snouts at a later date. They have 1/2 inch plate welded to the back of the spindle for strength, and can accept uniballs when I finally get around to building suspension.

You silly kids enjoy your spacer lifts and add a leaf. I build real suspension.
