Thanks Ron..... I wouldn't know what a purge valve looked liked it my life depended on it........ I'm an old retired geologist/geophysicist who loves to drive off road, etc but have never "worked" on cars......That's the reason my posts probably seem so dumb to most of you guys...... lolol..

looks like this. its located on the passenger side inner fender and has a crap load of vacuum hoses attached.

dhvaughan....... those images look like some booby traps I used to avoid a life time ago back 'Nam........

It was 30 great years of excitement and fun, halfamil.... I worked for two different major oil companies..
