Mine looks like the one in the picture, and I believe it is stock.

I don't know about the 2wds, but I know if you get dual stabilizers they are how you described. Maybe it is aftermarket?

Maxx_M, I'm in the same boat as you. Have the bracket and U-bolt setup for the stabilizer.

I think the pic on this thread is the same setup shown in the Haynes. Such a pain trying to work on something that is "slightly" different from everyone else.

Oddly enough, if you look in the 2001 repair Manual, page 19-40 (1633 in adobe) the linkage for 4x4 shown is what I have. Now I've got to go find my Haynes and check it out.

The oil was leaking out all over it. If your narrow black stabilier (dampner) is greasy and dirty to the touch, then it is probably bad.

I bent my shock playin in the mud.... drove about 10 mins down the road and went to turn right onto another road, and the damned thing went straight lol.... the shaft got bent and bound up, not letting it turn to the right... left was ok... luckily I noticed it where I did, there's a sharp right turn at the bottom of a hill up the road farther, I wouldn't have made it lol

My truck had the single, and I installed the dual skyjacker set. Love it. The 1st hing I noticed was how it handled at high speed on rough terrain. I drive a couple miles on a gravel road to get to my place. With the single at 50 mph I pitched and hopped all over the place. Now with the dual setup the same trip has really smoother out. It just takes less effort to steer this beast.
