Default back sliding window

well if you look in some of my pics you can kinda see it but ive been careful with my photo taking so you really have to pay attention to it

but long story short my right sliding window got shattered..so the previous owner put plexi glass where the glass used to be..and attached it to the existing black plastic bracket

but my question is..if i wanna put actual glass back there instead of the plexi am i going to have to put in a whole window or can i have a shop just fix that right sliding window

I'd go to your local glass shop and find out.

I had the same problem, I was told that you have to replace the entire window. There is no way to pop in the new glass in. I had a donor truck that I cut one out and had them replace the whole thing. The glass is not cheep.

No one in my area will touch just the individual pane in the middle. They fear that they will break the rest of the window trying to remove the middle portion.

If you really want to get a "real" fix, then I suggest you have the whole thing replaced. As you may already know, a solid pane will cost less. When I had mine replaced 4 years ago, it ran me $126 for the glass, install, and new film on the window.

looks like i better price check for a new sliding window..lol

cause theres no way im going to put a solid in there..worse come to worse ill just deal with it the way it is for a while

even though i really wanna tint my truck cause all of my previous vehicles have had some form of tint and cause im epileptic it helps my sensitive pupils

and theres no way im gonna not have dual sliding windows either..i dont like the look of the single sliders nor do i like the little amount it brings in

I hate my dual sliders. They are such a PITA to open. I'm gonna just put a solid piece of glass in and get a sunroof!
