The Off-Road wheels and the American Racing 17'' wheels that came on SS/Ts and Indy Pace Trucks.

I'd like to go rip out the 4:10 rear axle out of the SS/T or Indy Ram that is at my junkyard. And get the tow hooks, coil and leaf springs, and front brakes off the Off-Road in the junkyard, too. Cash For Clunkers FTW!!!

I always thought all 2ng gen half tons had the 231HD, but maybe I'm mistaken.

You guys have done well summing up the good points of the rams. Its kinda funny they all fit in just a few pages... the bad points would take up a good 100 or so page thread hahahahah

I've got the 231HD as well, the only problem with my truck is the auto transmission (nothing wrong with it, but it's still an auto)

It was my understanding that the 231HD was the least common transfer case, but it seems that is maybe not true after all.

Welp, Silver you are correct. After crawling under my truck and reading the identification plate on the back of the t-case, I now realize I have a 231 D. Go figure... with my luck, I should have know that Dodge would put the weaker case in the truck they built for me
