why would you need axles? locker or lsd goes in the pumpkin next to the gears and they make them for both open and orig. equip lsd axles?

with a locker i was alittle worried bout snappin an axle

You should be more worried about snapping the axles with those 37'' tires.

yea i am but if there locked 2gether i have an even better chance of snappin them right? or universal or driveshaft ears.

4.10 gears were stock on the off road edition rams.
did y'all not see max's post? you can get 4.10 gears on the dana44 and use the stock carrier if you get thick cut gears.
if you don't get thick cut gears then you will need a new carrier.

but yeah, 4.10s are too high for 37" tires.

3.55 is for 29-31" tires
3.92 is for 29-31" tires with a little more power and can make a tolerable amount of power with 33" tires
4.10 is for 33" tires
4.56 is for 35" tires
4.88 is for 37" tires
5.13 is for 40" tires

as the tire size increases, the gear ratios in the differentials do too. if the gear ratio is too high then your engine will have trouble putting enough power to the wheels.
so the bigger the tires, the lower the gear ratio needs to be in the differentials (bigger # means lower ratio) to keep the truck close to stock in the power department.

yea thanks for that info im going to go with the 4.88s like u all stated gonna pull er in the garage and get in ready for spring rear main seal, ball joints, gears, and clutch (gotta find a good one first)
