14x3 Round edelbrock air clener question
ok so when i go oil today, i found that they had a 14x3 round edelbrock air cleaner.
Now what im wondering is, is that it says its made for holley carbs...wilkl it fit on my TB? the bottom of it looks a bit bigger than my TB.
also ive read the DIY on this about buying a threaded piece and bend it etc....and it said i need an adaptor, and breather, where can i get those? they dont have them at AZ or advance from what i saw

i just got my 14x3 on. it was some off brand, idk what the name was. but it also said it was for a carb. but it fit just fine. i had to drill a new hole it the top, 3/4 of an inch from the center of the old one and i just put a bolt in there to plug the old hole. as far as the breather i just didnt connect it. i got one of those little air filter things instead.

your throttle body is 5 1/8", so if the air cleaner is that size then it will fit. you may want to go to the dealership and get a rubber gasket for it though, the parts stores just have a rubber impregnated felt type and i don't think it will seal as well as rubber.
is the base level with the bottom of the air cleaner or is it recessed? mine pokes down about 1/16" and it clears without any trouble.

if it's an edelbrock Pro-Flow with a drop base you will need a 1/2 inch spacer ring that sits between the TB and the base (commonly sold in packs containing 4 or 5 different spacers, also you will need a length of 1/4-20 threaded rod to bend into the S-bolt (the threaded hole in the tb is about 3/4 inch off center
for the valve cover, just buy a breather
here's my old setup (i replaced the breather b/c it fit too loose and kept jumping out, and my air hat is now color matched to the truck!)
breather that kept falling out
