Default Need directional advice on monster rig

I am dreaming of a project build. I am using a 1500 frame as a base (because I have a spare one on hand). All I know for certain is I will end up with 37 inch tires, I want it to be street able, and I want Dodge muscle to propel it. I also want to use gasoline. I have on hand the 318 with a NV3500 behind it in my truck now, and a 360 with an auto in my shed. I was looking at 4.91 gears, which should put it around 2,100 RPM's at 65. Is this optimal? Fuel is not really an issue (my truck is fuel sponsored by my company for pulling stuff, but they will only put up with so much). I want to stroke either V8, and drop in the NV4500. But the other day I contemplated a V-10. Would this be more viable? Mechanical ability is no issue; finding parts would be the only issue. This would open possibilities up to the NV5600, where I believe the extra gear would help overcome the 37 inch tires. Or do they make a six speed for V8's? So, I'm looking for testimonials and advice. I want decent power, decent torque, fuel mileage in the double digits, and I know I won't be a rocket; I just couldn't stand being passed by every and anything.

your looking at ALOT of money....

and do you mean 4.88 gears...they do have a 6 speed in some 3rd gen rams.

stroke kit will be about 4-5 grand.

the 360 has alot of potential to be built up so that would be your best bet.

No offense to the guys here or this site but, you need to get on pirate4x4. This forum typically does not get into this kind of build. This is the site for stock and near stock and for those trying to sort out your normal issues. Custom one-off fabricated stuff like you're talking about is more the norm on pirate. Then come back here when you need help sorting out engine codes, running problems, finding a bad ground, tranny shifting problems, etc.

^ I agree with what he said. This is hard core modding at its best.

THAT was a monster (sadly he sold it before i had a chance to go wheelin' with him)
