Does anyone know how to remove the back support for the rear seat? I know the seat part itself is juat a couple of bolts but can't seem to figure out how the back portion comes out. I want to mount some lights to the panel behind it so I need to get access to it. Thank you in advance.

 

Once you have the seat removed, the back comes off by lifting up from the bottom. It basiacally hangs in place. I've had mine out a few times, and this is how it comes out.

 

Thanks Silver_Dodge. I figured there had to be an easy enough way just wasn't sure what it was.

 

I don't remember there being any bolts holding it, but if there are, they were obvious. Once removed though, then just lift up on the back. Mine lifts up very hard, so it took some muscle.

 

2 bolts on each hinge and a good jarring upward to get it out. dont forget about the little peg on the back of each hinge that holds on pretty good if you don't get it out before trying to lift the seat.

 

So are these pegs something that has too be removed before attempting to lift it off?

 

the pegs are part of the hinges. after taking the two bolts out, flip them up an you will see the peg on the back that is holding on to the pedestal that the seat sits on.

if you try to lift the seat without working those out of the holes then they will just hold on and keep the seat from coming out easily.

 

I know this is going to sound stupid but can the top b removed without takin the whole seat out? I have speakers and a box that i want to put in there on the back seat but with the back in place it will not fit
