Hey sprueitt what really got you into this project? I was reading you bio and stuff on the website. Was this a project for Dodge or just a side project for yourself?

I wasn't saying that YOU do not know (is that better?) anything about fab work. You did nice work to your ranger. I was just interested in how you know how much fab work went into the trex. If its not your truck then how can you credit anyone?

I just want to get the facts straight that is all.
Use your eyeballs. Look at that truck.

I got hooked on 6x6's when I had a 6x6 ATV. I had two Max IV atvs and they could go twice the places that the 4x4 atvs could go. THen in 1997 Dodge showed off their prototype T-Rex. I was on the list to buy one. I had contacted a dealer to get me on the waiting list for one. THey had flyers at the dealership and the prototypes were making the rounds to some dealerships to show off the prototype. This would have made the most ultimate tow rig. Instead of one axles and dually tire ( those side hips are a pain to park) have two axles and singles.

So I was saving up for the roll out of the T-Rex's. THen in 1999 they canceled the project. So I said fine I will build my own, but I will make if for offroading, not for towing. So we bought a Dodge and started building. Somehow the word got out and I got a call from some Dodge Boys. THey sponsored me. Then the sponsors form other companies came rolling in...That was sweet, it cut my build cost down alot.

It was intended to be just my family wheelin rig ( I have 4 kids so I needed alot of seat belts). But then the truck took on a life of its own.

THen we started talking to some people at Dodge about a tow rig, and the company that built the Prototype T-Rex's had one that they were willing to sell. This would be good publicity for Dodge having thier tow vehicle pull the competition vehicle around from event to event. SInce thier price was too high we again built our own tow rig, but with a cummins. We built ours similar to how they were going to do thiers.

This was a towing dream. We could bumper pull 16,000 lbs and you could not feel it back there. We could put a cord and a half of logs in the bed, and we could goose neck pull 28,000 lbs. It handled great.

Someone should build these. IF either Dodge, Chevy or Ford would do this they would corner the towing vehicle market...At least that's what I think...

Well said Laramie.

011500, while you look to be a very competent fabricator and sound like you know a wealth of information in many areas, you sure come across as quite a negative person most of the time. Most of your posts are bashing somebody for one reason or another... very much like viper37

I'm sorry? Actually, no I'm not. The purpose of a forum is to share Idea's and opinions. I share mine, and because it doesn't go along with the motto of hacknfab, spacer lifts, and the trucks covered in Kragen Chrome that goes with this forum, I am criticized for it.

Thats my opinion, and I Dgaf dgaf dgaf.

Then you need to learn to how express your opinion without sounding like *******. You come in here spitting fire and then one someone disagrees with you, you've got the nerve to hit the report post button?

Viper37, that low life baggadouche? I thought Lance got rid of that a$$hat a while ago. Nah, couldn't be him, that summbiotch didn't have a clue, this guy seems like he at least knows a little bit about trucks. Nah, couldn't be. I'm so sure of it, I ain't even gonna think about comparing IP addresses. I'm sure they wouldn't be the same.

011500, lets just try to play nice, huh? Everybody is entitled to have an opinion without getting cut down for it. It's very possible to disagree without being disrespectful.

This goes for anybody who wishes to continue to post in this section...

How could I be the same person? An IP ban is an IP ban. So unless I am Viper37, wasting my time surfing your site through a proxy, I'M NOT THE MYTHICAL VIPER37. As for having an opinion, every time I share one, I get criticized for having a 4x2, or for living in the west, or for this and for that. I'm all for playing nice, but if other users don't want to, whats the point?

Funny how the rules apply to a moderator (who didn't break them) but not to you (who has broken them repeatedly in one thread.) Oh wait, they *do* apply to you...
