Default Ram 2500 Running Bad

Hi All I have Been lurking for a while and reading all the information I could find. I have an issue with my new to me 1996 ram 2500. It has the 5.9 engine. The truck idles ok but when I push the gas it just has no power. I checked fuel pressure it has 46lbs and holds that well over 5 mins after the engine is off. I plugged the pcv line and checked for vacuum at the breather hose and it has none. I did a vacuum check while it was idling and it has 15hg
and is rock steady at that. Im gonna try a tune up today cap rotor wires rotor button plugs and a new coil if that don't solve it. any other things to check that might help me out would be great.
Thanks
Jon

Hi all trucks at the muffler shop right now getting the exhaust replaced. It is too cold and wet here in Ohio for me to do it. Besides the price he gave me, it was not any cheaper for me to buy pipes from auto zone and a converter from summit. Ive got my fingers crossed that this fixes it. If it doesn't that's OK because it needed an exaust tailpipe was gone and muffler was almost rusted off. I'll let you know either way.

+1 on plenum

also from what zman said in the past, unscrew the 02 sensor at the cat and see if it "relieves pressure" that can be a sign of a plugged up cat, and an easy way to check it
