Just put on a 14x3 air cleaner, install was a breeze, used edel 14x3 and 1/2" spacer for fitment. The problem or question I have is when at normal throttle I have a loud whistle from the air sucking in. At full throttle or idle sounds great. Does everyone else experience this. I have had intakes on different trucks and they have never sounded like this. Just double checking to make sure this is normal or have I missed something installing it.

 

did you use a rubber gasket between the spacer and the throttle body and the air hat and spacer?

 

no sure didn't, was wondering if I needed that. Where can I get them at?

 

dealer has solid rubber gaskets. advance and o'reilleys have a rubber/felt type, but the rubber is softer and i believe that it makes a better seal. i had to buy two and stack them for my fipk because it didn't seal good enough for my liking with just one. the i went to a 14x3 and i only needed one, so my dad got a new air box gasket when i ditched the fipk.
