Default chipping a 2000 ram with 5.9 cummins

I bought my first dodge with the cummins, it has 4.10 rears, auto trans, has lots of power, but not the best on fuel. Can someone give me some info on chipping, would it give me better fuel economy and which is best chip, seen some on eebay that claims to give real high mpg and only cost 40.00, and some which has several levels and cost as high as 800$ I am sure the 40$ ones has to be a scam! any help be appreciated, and direct reply to my email be ok, cbgeorge2000 (at yahoo dot com)

dont get any of the chips off ebay, their just trash, they do absolutly nothing, all my freinds run a smarty programmer or a quadzilla, but they also arnt too concered about fuel economy seeings that just about all of them run bio fuel, but the smarty really does help a little maybe 3 or 4 mpgs, the best thing to do it get a good cold air filter and open up the exhaust a little bit, try bully dog or banks, if all your looking for is fuel economy thier pretty good at that, im not really a fan their wayy over priced for what you get

None of the ebay chips work. They are a $.99 Radioshack ressistor that sells for $40.

Whatever you do, black smoke sucks.

Black smoke sucks because it sucks more fuel because it is unburnt fuel. It looks like ****, and pisses people off.
