There are other places that can tell you if you have the death flash. Look on the radiator support, and the hood behind the grille. They will both say something simlar to what is on that picture.

 

I need to do some research and find the P/N for the death flash. Or at lesat the TSB.

on my radiator support is just a vaccume line diagram and a belt diagram, under the hood is just a build sheet, my truck runs pretty good and has lots of power (just towed a 5000lb car with ease) and get ruffly 13-14 mpg with the 5.2 mostly city, could it be in affect? im all confused

 

The only way to be fully sure is to take it to a dealer and find out. I wonder if Rams that came from the factory would even have a sticker..

Well I know mine has the "Flash" it has the dealer sticker on the rad support and the ecm. So I installed the Jet chip yesterday and lets just say I already took it off, It almost felt like it robbed power. I think My E-bay chip (resistor) gave it more power than that thing!! I'm tryin to find a Superchip flashpaq on the local classifieds here in Slc and found a couple 3815's for around $200 maybe I'll try one of those if it will override the deathflash, I'm curious to see how much it will help they claim 46hp???

Anyone want a used Jetchips programmer real cheap??? haha

 

i had mine in for awhile and the computer just over rides it. Cant believe they charge what they charge for the junk.

 

i have tried 4 few different tuners and chips. here they are in the order of performance, in my opinion.worst to best.
