Most of you know my rockers are gone.

i attempted the fix myself with spray foam, fiberglass, fiberglass jelly, and duct tape lol. didnt turn out to bad until the water kept getting to it and made it all fall off lol.

im a MECHANIC, not an auto body guy lol.

You're welcome guys. I have a lot of things bookmarked for when I may need them, such as that panels site.

Here's a nice write up on how to put them on. http://www.helium.com/items/685831-h...spots-on-a-car

I've never personally done bodywork, although I'm sure this year I'll have some experience with it. But it doesn't seem too hard.

Put acid on it, any autozone or napa will carry it.

thanks rideordie for this site! way better prices compared to everywhere else. there is a little bit of rust coming through just above the wheel arches on my truck so i was just going to get a garage to fix it. but lookin' at the prices on there maybe i should just buy the fenders... at least i wont have to worry about rust for awhile!

Also does any one have any stock fenders and doors they want to get rid of at a decent price?
Check LMC, I know they have them. I need one for my passenger door but... don't have the $ to fix. Shop wants 800 to weld and paint the piece in. Lol, we should do a group buy on replacement pannels.

my shop focuses mainly on chevys 89-99 with their cab corners, we get all our parts from lmc, shipping kills but their really good parts, thats good that you put the rust converter on it, the job is pretty simple just be shure to strip interior away from your welding zone, ive set a few carpets on fire by not doing that, haha, all it takes is time, a cut off wheel and welder

I ground out all the po's bondo and used the rust rmover jelly then sprayed rust converter inside the rocker followed by protectant paint...then used meduim hair fiberglass to fill in holes and finally the clear two part epoxy they sell at harbor frieght thats supposed to be like jb weld....I used the epoxy on the inner lower lip of my doors too....after sanding I painted and then herculined then rocker and about 3-4 inches up of door.... so far two months later and its holding up great through the winter...I Do have mud flaps to protect from large rocks being thrown at it though...mud tires throw big rocks! the stainless fender guards hide the bodywork I did there rather than try to blend the paint....used zero-rust on them to seal it first

If I could weld I guess I would likely have used replacement panels
