cap and rotor
i know the wires can have an effect on hp output but what should i go with for a cap and rotor? does it matter? i'm gonna do a tune up and get new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, so i'm taking suggestions on all, but my biggest question is the cap and rotor or is there a whole kit i should get? i think it says at the bottom but i have 99 1500 5.9L 4X4

All the guys on here say a brass contact cap. Iv'e used them all, and from now on I'll get the cheapeast cap and rotor they have. That's what I have on mine now, and it works great. They usually outlast the spark plugs, and wires 2-1.I think most folks pay for pay for parts they don't need. Is your engine stock ?

Stock cap and rotor man, like 28 bucks for both at autozone just becareful changing them out, kinda a b!tch to get to
Edit: i use autolight double plat plugs with 8.1mm wires. the cheap 7mm wires are about 30 bucks which do the samething, i just got the 8.1's because they were onsale at the time and were like 9 bucks more than the 7mm wires
