megacab coills on a 2001 1500 4x4 sport
i was looking on cardomain.com and found a 1500 4x4 2nd gen with megacab coils and was wondering if that would work and would i need longer pitman arms? it says that he has the coils with a daystar coil spacer for a total of a 6.5 in. lift in the front here is the link:

Megacabs came in 1500, 2500 and 3500 models, with either a hemi or a diesel (2500/3500 only). And the 1500 has a solid front axle, unlike the regular 1500's. The coils will fit a second gen ram, but I am not sure of the actual lift amounts that will be gained. 2500/3500 diesel coils will no doubt offer more lift than the 1500 gas coils.
It is possible he gained that much lift with using the coils and added spacers, but he would have also added all the other stuff to complete the lift (longer control arms, track bar, drop pitman arm, etc.).

time to educate everyone
the lift kit in my truck is custom....
FRONT---- coils from an 05 cummins 3500 i gained 4.5 inches and no other modifications were necesssary, i replaced stock shocks anyways
REAR------ removed stock 3" blocks and relpaced them with 6" blocks
she sits perfectly level and is on 35" procomps.
ride quality is awesome, its not stiff at all
