Water Pump Replacement
its a very easy job.
#1 buy a haynes or Chilton repair manual
Disconnect battery
take off the belt
take out top coolant hose
take out fan shround and resivoirs on them.
take out the alt. and a/c leave them on the bracket for they can come out in one piece, just undo all the connections.
take out idler pulley
take out the bolts around the water pump..
clean everything real good.
get a new bypass hose/thermostat
to separate the fan from the pump, that may be te tricky part. but pay attention, some of them are reverse threaded.
reverse for install.
you might want to look at it closer, it could be the timing cover gasket, and since your going that far in, you might as well do the chain.
