Question a/c help

Hey y'all hope this is the right place for this. So here goes, I need to take my a/c off and it is still fully charged. I can't find how to discharge it before unhooking the lines. Where/how can I do this? No I can't take it to a garage I have started stripping it and it's not driveable.

Thanks!

the refrigerant is lighter than air, so you can't just put it in a bucket or anything cuz it will just evaporate. you need a someone with a reclaim pump and tank to store it. otherwise, if you dump it, you'll need it recharged when it reconnected.

crack one of the lines open just until it starts leaking, then let it leak out.....not very fun having freon blown in your mouth/face

if you know anyone in the HVAC field though, just hit them up, i do it for friends all the time, takes a few minutes and way cheaper then recharging after. should only cost you a six pack and he can come to you.
