Hello all, I'm not new to the dodge forum, but new to the ram section, I just bought an 01 Qcab w/Off-road package and absolutely love it. I too heard this just yesterday for the first time, a high pitched whistling noise coming from the engine bay. I checked mitchell for TSB's regarding a few things, and one of them happened to be TSB reference # 19-003-02 , where vehicles with hydroboost braking system of a problem with the line going from the hydroboost to the power steering pump/gear. Hope this is of any help! Not sure if this is my problem, but i'm going to check it out the next sunny day.

 

It is help for me, for when i hit the brakes comming to a quick stop (since i dont have abs) a humming/vibrating noise will come up. but doesnt happen if i brake regular
