Also, in the 2nd picture down, the black pipe with a hose from your diff leading to it.. Whats the purpose of that?
At first I though it was to drain gear oil, then common sense kicked in.

Right before I jerked the truck to the right I was doing 45mph.

There is a bunch of dirt and mud caked up in the broken part of the axle and the gear oil is coming out the vent tube.
