Default question about lifting my truck

i am going to buy a lift kit for my truck. its a 01 ram 1500 sport. ive looked around but they all say "does not fit "off road" packages". does my truck have the offroad package? i dont know if it does or not..i dont have the manual for it. but there is a little emblem next to the back window that says off road sport. anyway... what lift should i get? i dont want somethign really expensive. im looking for 3-5" suspension lift. what all would i need to replace for a 3" lift? and a 5" lift?

i found these
http://www.topguncustomz.com/Store/G...iview=25474006 but it doesnt come with coils...but the other 3" they had comes with coils...but no control arms. wich would be best? does anyone have a 3" lift?

here is 5" lift
http://www.topguncustomz.com/Store/G...iview=53702626

i am going to keep the tires i have on it now, because there is probably 80% life left in them. but once i need to replace i will get 33 or 35" tires. i just figures a 3" lift wouldnt as goofy witht he tires i have on it now, as would a 5" lift. oh yea..how hard is it to install a lift kit? could it be done in a saturday?

I would get the 5'' kit but lift blocks and spacers are scary, I put my 3'' lift on in a days time.

Your truck does not have the Off-Road package.

DO NOT stack a 5'' block on top of the stock 3'' block. I would suggest getting new leaf springs.

If your truck is in your sig pic, then you do not have the off road package. It would have tow hooks under the front bumper and 17" wheels, along with a few other things, but those would be the most noticeable.

the 3" is like 300 bucks cheaper.. you think i would regret doing a 3" insted of a 5" lift? how easily would 35" clear with a 3" lift?

i mean which is better...body lift or suspension lift? i know body lift is cheaper...

I have a 3'' body, I'd much rather have a suspension though, and I believe a 3'' will clear 35's, might have alittle rubbing on the control arms from what i hear.
