if it has a 318 in it i can see it getting 20mpg alot easier than a 360. the thing about making a vehicle more fuel efficient is that it cost more $$$$$.

Maybe it would be a good idea to keep track of everything they do in this thread, what works and doesn't work. I am sure everyone wants to know how to get 20mpg, and like someone said earlier, not all of us have the time to watch the show.

I for one will be watching intently, already set the DVR to record all episodes. It will be interesting to see how close they get to the 20 mpg number, but for me any improvement is a bonus. My 01 Ram get 8-10 city, 13-14 highway IF i run at 65 mph or less. Thats on 35's with 3.55 gears and a 5.9

LOL. I just happened to turn on the show about 10 minutes before I was going to put a new fan clutch on. I installed an electric fan instead! It was not hard to do, but it was def not as easy as he made it look. I noticed right off the bat that there was alot less resistance on the motor when I drove it.

i was wondering the same thing. if it is a newer truck it probably has the death flash. it would be funny if it has a plenum leak and they put a superchip on it and when they do the truck drive it pings really bad. haha

it would be neat to watch someone do the plenum repair or even put the hughes air gap on it
