have a 1996 ram 1500 with a 46re transmission. bought a rebuilt from a private party who claimed it was a 46re, but by all accounts i can find appears to be a a518. bolt up holes on the bell housing are different for the starter and don't appear to match up with a couple other holes in proximity of the starter. will this actually fit or is there an adapter kit. as the 46re and a518 are seemingly listed as being the same? jammr29
