Default Intake question

I know it's another intake question, but it's not like the others. One of my friends has an uncle that owns a bunch(10 or so) dodge trucks that don't run. They vary from 99-2001 1500's.

I guess I'm asking if I can't find a 2000 intake, would another intake from another year work on my truck?

If you're talking about the air cleaner, I believe they're universal for all 2nd gen V8 Rams. If you're talking about the manifold, It's generic between 318 and the 360 engines as they both have the same heads. Just make sure its a non egr manifold and that you have the same abount of vacum ports.

Sorry I didn't mean to be vague. I meant the manifold or the kegger I suppose.

there's only about 3 flavors of the intake, and all are interchangable with only a couple of considerations. the oldest ones have the EGR port which you could block off. some of the intermediate years have 2 temp sensors which can also be blocked off. the latest years have no egr and 1 temp sensor.
