Hey Z, where did you order the Borgeson Steering Shaft? I just found this on the internet

"It should be noted here that Chrysler has issued a Recall Notification for all 1994 and 1995 Model Year Dodge Ram Trucks because of a fault inside the steering column itself which can cause the shafts inside the column to disengage from each other and result in loss of steering control of the vehicle. Chrysler has addressed this problem by instructing Dodge dealers to install a "stop" on the intermediate shaft to prevent disengagement of the steering column shafts. We have added a feature to our assembly that provides the same measure of safety."

That really worries me, for i drive my 5 month old around in it.

Check your dealer. Since it was a recall, you can go in and ask them if the shaft has been replaced. If not, have them do it!

Its a problem with the column, not the shaft.

If yours is anything like my old one was, you don't have to worry. The slip joint is probably rusted solid.

Yep, mine too!

My steering gear box and column are probably really getting hell for that too. Damn I need to replace that.

it isnt rusted....i think maybe PO had this "stop" already added...he was a mechanic so he probably knew of it.

the only rust on my truck is bottom of doors/rockers, and brake lines....(go figure...) the rest of the truck looks excellent.
