aftermarket headers good or bad idea?
i have a 97 ram 1500 the muffler is rusted so im going to buy flowmaster super 44 dual exhaust but im also wanting to get a magnaflow catalytic converter reports say that will increase my mpg by about 5 but im wondering if i buy new headers if that will help out more yet im looking for power mpg and sound. so im wondering if i should get new headers to if so how hard is it to replace and is it worth it. thanks
Headers are never a bad idea.
Long tubes, if designed properly have collecters that create vaccums. This sucks exhaust out faster and (I don't know if i believe this part) but help suck more intake through in the minute about of time that both valves are open.
