aftermarket headers good or bad idea?

Default aftermarket headers good or bad idea?

i have a 97 ram 1500 the muffler is rusted so im going to buy flowmaster super 44 dual exhaust but im also wanting to get a magnaflow catalytic converter reports say that will increase my mpg by about 5 but im wondering if i buy new headers if that will help out more yet im looking for power mpg and sound. so im wondering if i should get new headers to if so how hard is it to replace and is it worth it. thanks

Headers are never a bad idea.

Long tubes, if designed properly have collecters that create vaccums. This sucks exhaust out faster and (I don't know if i believe this part) but help suck more intake through in the minute about of time that both valves are open.

are they easy to put in? im looking at stainless steal headers? good choice?
